When I first stumbled upon the “Strategy of Poker” product, which shows you how to treat poker as a business, I decided to look around for reviews on the internet.  I did not find any in-depth reviews, so I wrote my own and you can judge for yourself the usefulness of this product.

So what is the “Strategy of Poker” Product?

 Strategy of Pokeris a product composed of 4 sub products which all provide you with a method to profit from online poker.  This product does not claim to make you a millionaire; it presents several feasible methods for starting an online poker business.  If you just want something part time, to put some easy poker money in your pocket then just take one of the strategies presented and run with it.  If, however, you are looking for something as a full time source of income you’ll probably need to apply several of the strategies presented and build up a business.  The first eBook is well researched and it explains various ways you can treat poker as a business with online poker products, affiliate links, etc. that are easy to start and without actually playing the game.  The second eBook talks about Sit and Go (SNG) tournaments, which are quick online games, and tells the best strategies to win at the SNG tourneys.  The third eBook goes through the basics of playing online poker and some important strategies and tips for winning.  The fourth and final sub product is a compilation of relaxation music intended to help you relax while playing poker.

The Good Points:

• It presents you with three different methods to make money with poker – pick the one (or all three) that are right for you.
• It presents both strategies to make money with poker by playing as well as making money from poker related products and services, etc.
• Texas Holdem and SNG tournaments are popular within the poker community right now so there is an opportunity there to profit.
• It’s not a massive eBook that bores you half to death and you never finish reading – it is comprehensive in material but presented in a concise manner that is easy to follow and understand.  Click here to visit the Strategy of Poker website.
• It is reasonably priced – if you use it you will feel like you got a great deal and if it’s not for you then you still end up with lots of useful information and ‘free cash’ bonus offers so you won’t feel like you’ve lost your shirt.
• Provides some great online poker room examples & a ton of ‘free cash’ bonus links

The Bad Points:

• You may kick yourself for not thinking of some of these simple strategies, but at least here the ideas are explained.
• The poker relaxation album is short and only 20 minutes – it’s just mood enhancing/relaxing sound effects like rain and waves. – But hey if that’s your cup of tea then enjoy!
• It’s a bundled package so if you only want one part of it you are out of luck – but the different parts do compliment each other and the price is good.

Overall I would say it’s a great product for the money if treating poker as a business is something you are serious about pursuing.  What I really liked was that the first eBook really shows you how you can make money with poker without actually playing – and then the other two books show you tips and strategies for actually playing online poker.  The first book is your ‘bread and butter’ (profitable justification for your poker lifestyle) and the second and third book will share some tips to help with your real passion – playing the game of poker!

One way to look at poker as a business is profiting from online poker rooms.  The primary advantages to playing Texas Holdem online is that games go faster because computer/program dealing means an increase in the number of hands you can play in an hour.  The internet also allows you to play more than one game at a time called ‘multi tabling’.

When it comes to playing online Texas Holdem there is no substitute for experience, but for beginners there are a few poker strategy tips you can use to improve your odds. 

Without being able to see your opponents you can not read their movements or any other signs to indicate what type of hand they are holding.  However, there are other ways to read your opponents in an online poker room.  Try and find a pattern – are they a guarded player or more of a risk taker.  When do they usually raise, early on or only when they have a good hand?  Just remember that the other players will be watching you the same way you are watching them.  To be successful you need to learn to be flexible and adapt to the game you’re playing as you go along.  Don’t be stubborn, stay on your toes be willing to adjust so that the other players can’t spot your pattern and use it to their advantage.  If you are looking to treat poker as a business in the online poker rooms you need to adapt and learn from your opponents.
